A Free Poppy-Dahlia Novella

With plans falling though at the last minute, Anna Dahlia and Zoe’s Papa comes up with a last-minute adventure to the west end of Golden Gate Park.

A picnic at the Tulip Garden, real root beer at the Beach Chalet, and an unexpected tour of the Murphy windmill, culminating with rescuing a lost dog were completely unexpected events when the day started with such an utter failure.

Join Zoe and Anna Dahlia for a day-trip wandering around the western edge of Golden Gate Park as they visit the Dutch Windmill and Wilhelmina Tulip Garden for a picnic, walk along a former train right-of-way, sip the house root beer at the beach chalet, and unexpectedly take a tour of the workings of the Murphy Windmill, all before rescuing a friendly dog that had been following them around all day.

One story, written as two books, told from each sister’s perspective.

In the first book, read the story from Anna Dahlia’s viewpoint. Continue with the second book to increase comprehension, add extra details, and story variations with the story seen from her sister Zoe’s point of view.

Reading a book twice can dramatically increase reader comprehension. However, encouraging readers to read a story twice can be tough.

Providing the same story from another character’s point of view, bringing a change in perspective, and some alternate storylines will excite readers to take a deeper dive into what they have just read.

Caregivers will enjoy the bonus section offering story summaries (broken down by chapter) and reader questions to engage young readers in thoughtful conversation.

Available soon as a free e-book, this novella is a fun short read that will get you aquatinted with our main characters as they enjoy a delightful day out in San Francisco
