Book 3 of the Poppy-Dahlia Adventure series

(Expected availability, Fall 2020)

The city never shook like this…
Could Anna Dahlia guide her visiting cousin home through all the rubble, blackout, and aftershocks before dark?

It wasn’t Anna Dahlia’s first earthquake experience…

It was however, the biggest, and longest.

After a day of exploring San Francisco, Anna Dahlia was heading home with her college aged cousin Marigold when the earth moved. A quick shake, not long enough for a reaction, a reminder that they lived in earthquake country. It was almost cute, and they had a laugh about the small temblor.

But then, terror struck. Moments later, the aftershock came. This time it was more serious. The jarring movement didn’t stop right away, it continued on. She could hear the shaking all over. When it finally stopped, the world had changed.

Now they would need to cross the city and hope the train was still running to find their way home. And what about her sister Zoe? She was touring Alcatraz with their mom along with Marigold’s mother and brother. Were they ok? Would they be able to find their way home from the island? What would they encounter as they found their way back?

One story, written as two books, told from each sister’s perspective.

In the first book, read the story from Anna Dahlia’s viewpoint. Continue with the second book to increase comprehension, add extra details, and story variations with the story seen from her sister Zoe’s point of view.

Reading a book twice can dramatically increase reader comprehension. However, encouraging readers to read a story twice can be tough.

Providing the same story from another character’s point of view, bringing a change in perspective, and some alternate storylines will excite readers to take a deeper dive into what they have just read.
